Quilty Pleasures ROYAL WEDDING TEA PARTY

April 29, 2011 – the social event of the season! If you weren't able to join us, here are some pictures of what you missed; if you were able to honour us with your presence, here's a chance to relive the glory!

Sharing tea and pleasantries ... and royal waves.

We ate like royalty. Cucumber sandwiches, scones, marzipan squares, melting moments, pineapple-coconut bonbons, heart-shaped shortbread (thanks, Marilyn, they were yummy!), cream biscuits, chocolates, and a cake shaped like a teapot – all entirely calorie-free, of course.

Guests enjoy a cuppa. Even the "Royal We'll of Fortune" was blinged out for the occasion. Guests watch anxiously to see if the marker lands on the Crown Jewels (that's worth a 30% discount for royal bargain-hunters!).

The tea is ready, but where's Mother?

Tea Table Talk. The Staff.

The Duchess of Orleans shares a moment with Burtch, who performed his duties admirably. Beatrice and Eugenie have nothing on these two!

Sam's teapot cake was too pretty to cut. Val and Leslie play rampant lion and unicorn to the Royal We'll.
