This is Virginia's first entry in 2024's #ufospottedatquiltypleasures challenge!

"My boy, Lollipop" is her first quilt made outside of a class (and both Thomas and QP think she nailed it)! Scrappy binding from coordinating 5" strips adds the perfect finishing touch.

Well done, Virginia!

This is Virginia's second entry in 2024's #ufospottedatquiltypleasures challenge!?

Her quilt, titled "Sugar Maple", was created in our Quilting II sampler class with Anne Blades. Her palette of blues, creams, and reds works beautifully together - we'd say she completed the class with flying colours!

This is Beth's first entry in 2024's #ufospottedatquiltypleasures challenge!

How awesome is this Japanese Lanterns quilt? We love the fabrics she chose for the blocks, and her cherry blossom-pink background is the perfect shade to tie it all together. Seeing it really lit up our day!

This is Barb's first entry in 2024's #ufospottedatquiltypleasures challenge!

Her hand-pieced, hand-quilted Circle Game is a sight to behold. Curved piecing in bold colours are striking, while the inclusion of novelty prints adds to the quilt's playful feel. It's all round ahead of the curve!

This is Virginia's third entry in 2024's #ufospottedatquiltypleasures challenge!

This quilt, titled "Sandy Lake Picnic", was started in a class she took with Val. She experimented with new techniques, using a narrow-edge foot to quilt it and EQ Printables to create a personalized label with a photo of her siblings on a picnic - the perfect finishing touch for a quilt that will be gifted to her oldest brother!

Sandy Lake Picnic - Virginia

My New Star Quilt, for my 2nd entry to the 2024 #ufospottedatquiltypleasures, is completed!

I started this project at the beginning of April 2024, loving the Starry colors, with the quilt along #newstarquilt ... But I was not so sure I'd like it after having pieced seven of the nine squares I had planned. It just seemed too colourful or too extreme...

Mid June, I stopped by @quilty_pleasures to show my fist completed UFO and pick up some thread and batting for the second UFO project.

New Star - Clo

When I showed the picture of [seven of the] squares one of the employees, Kimberley told me it looked good,... like the inspiring sample the designer Kristen, @woollypetals had done.

And that was all I needed to get going again. I am so glad I did. I find these colors so cheery and summery.  Clo

Her Dreamy Dan is especially dreamy considering it was made for a dear friend who recently returned from a trip to Mexico. Cocktail umbrellas add a bit of fun to the border (and bring to mind sips of delicious daiquiris) and crocodile backing makes sure Flamingo Dan stays in line while enjoying some fun in the sun! Fabulous work, Estelle!

There's something about "Time After Time" that has captivated us. Could it be the classic combo of teals and golds? The awesome curved piecing? Or the Kokopelli prints? Any of these reasons make this quilt timeless - it's stunning, Beth!
