SPRING IT ON!
We’ve got a spring in our step now that Spring has arrived! Florals in vibrant hues have sprouted on the shelves and are ready to be made into quilted beauties that are far easier to tend than an actual garden. A little farming humour: the only bolting happening at Quilty Pleasures is of the fabric variety!Amy, Sam, and all the QP Dolls (Carrie, Diane, Janet, Leslie, Rowan, Sonia, Val, and Allison)
New classes are the perfect way to get acquainted with your new Pfaff. Here are a few we're excited about!
Tote tiny treasures in the cutest pouches around! The Sweetpea Pods use a unique one-sided zipper technique that is so easy and fun, allowing you to mix-and-match zipper pulls while also letting the pod stand open for easy access (or zip it closed for total security).
Take a leap into improv piecing in Winter Woods, a guided introductory class to freestyle piecing. Using the "Winter Woods" pattern by Tamarinis, we will discuss fabric selection, embellishment and quilting during the class as we create a 62" X 68" wall or throw quilt that takes the guesswork out of improv (and will keep you wanting more)
Master turn-edge applique with Applique Workshop #2. Learn about different materials, threads and needles while exploring various hand applique techniques. This is a perfect class for the curious who don't necessarily want to commit to one applique method and would like to try different approaches. As it is a skill workshop, we will provide a kit containing different products and there will not be a specific finished project.

So easy to be so connected!
If you've never made one before, a word of explanation: These are small baby quilts that are placed in the neonatal incubators and bassinets, so the size is restricted to between 22" x 22" and 24" x 24". Their small size also makes them perfect for testing block patterns, busting your stash, and practicing free-motion quilting.
Keeping in mind the intended recipients are newborns, please aim for cute and cheerful, using only 100% cotton or flannel in the top and backing, and 100% cotton thread for the construction and quilting. Cuddle quilts are typically sent home with the babies who use them, so there is a constant demand for them.
Thanks very much. Your donations will be gratefully appreciated!
We can special-order products for you!
It happens all the time: You're reading someone's blog and they recommend a pattern, book, notion, or other item that you'd really like to have. Only trouble is, either they don't sell it or you don't want to order it from them because of the exchange rate, shipping costs, Customs issues, whatever.
Let us deal with it! We can usually order these products from our suppliers, and all of the hassles are taken care of. No fuss, no muss, and your order comes right to the store and into your hands.
