Modern Hexie Class Requirements

Please make sure you are reading the requirements for the project you want to work on.

All projects:
-Hexie Pillow pattern by Modern Handcraft  (even if you are not making the pillow you will use this pattern to guide you in preparing and using modern hexies)
-Sewing machine in good working condition, with new needle Topstitch size 90/14 needle, all accessories and manual. Don't forget your power cord and foot control;
-1" Hexie papers
-Temporary fabric marking tool of your choice
-Rotary cutter or fabric Scissors
-Wonder Clips OR Water Soluble Fabric Glue Stick
-Konfetti 50wt thread (bring any colour to first class.  This thread will not sure - we will discuss more specific thread choices during first class based on your project of choice)
-regular hand sewing needles nothing specific needed

Basic sewing notions: Thread snips, seam ripper, pins, scissors, etc.


Pillow:
-0.6 m cotton fabric (for pillow front and back)
-approximately forty (40) 2.5" squares for hexies (bring extra or leftover fabric)
-0.5m of fusible fleece

Wreath:
-1 FQ for the front AND 1 FQ for the back (or equivalent in yardage)
0.5m fusible fleece
-30-40 green 2.5" squares depending on the size of wreath you would like to make

Table Runner:
-0.4m background fabric for front of tablerunner
-0.4m backing fabric
-0.2m binding fabric
-0.4m fusible fleece
-a variety of 2.5" squares depending upon the design you would like to create on your table runner
*** please note,  if you would like to create a design similar to Carrie's you will be able to purchase the autumn-coloured squares from Carrie for $10 at the first class

Bow:
0.2m fabric
0.2m lightweight iron-on interfacing such as SF101
