Crisscross Apron

This cute retro-style apron has lots going for it, with no strings attached! It's reversible (Halloween one side, Christmas the other!), it provides ample coverage on all body types, it has roomy pockets, and -- best of all -- it has no ties to complicate matters. Whip up several for Christmas gifts and you'll have your list covered.

NOTE: If you would like some uninterrupted secret sewing time, the classroom will be available after class, until closing, for you to continue working on your project.

Requirements:
Crisscross Apron Supply List Pattern: Crisscross Apron (SKU 1205137) Fabric: 1 metre EACH of two fabrics for the apron bodies. The apron is reversible, so have fun choosing your combinations. Pocket Linings: 0.25 m of a complimentary solid (fat or skinny quarter will do) Supplies: Sewing machine in good working condition, with manual, all accessories, power cord and foot control: New needle: Microtex 80/12; 1/4" foot and narrow edge topstitch foot (optional, but very helpful); Thread to coordinate with fabrics (topstitching will show on both sides); Rotary cutter and 24-1/2" ruler; Rotary cutter with pinking blade(optional, but very helpful); Hot Hemmer (SKU 1105986) or Hot Ruler (SKU 1108920) (optional, but very helpful); Sharp fabric scissors; Frixion pen or other marker that will show on both fabrics; Basic sewing kit: Pins, seam ripper, awl, etc. Before Class: Cut out the pattern pieces as required on the pattern (main body, strap, pockets). Two things to pay attention to when cutting out the main body: 1/ make sure you place the fold line on the fold before you cut! 2/ pay attention to the orientation of directional fabric, and 3/ be careful cutting around the neckline because the fabric you cut away becomes the pocket. Bring the pocket lining fabric with you -- we'll cut it in class
