This class is made up of two 4-hour sessions.
Class Supplies:
- Book: Adventures in Paper Piecing & Design by Sarah Elizabeth Sharp
- foundation paper piecing paper
- 6" Add-A-Quarter ruler
- Rotary cutter
- Paper scissors
- seam roller (optional)
- Fons & Porter glue stick
- awl
- small (6" X 8") cutting mat or rotary cutting mat - not necessary but recommended
- 1 fat quarter for background
- fabric scraps for plant leaves and pots
- thread snips
- a new 80/12 microtex needle
- 50 wt cotton thread such as Konfetti or Tutti
- sewing machine in good working order with owner's manual (you are responsible for knowing how to operate your own machine - this includes such things as threading your machine, winding a bobbin and changing stitch lengths. A private lesson to learn how to operate your machine can be scheduled prior to your class, if necessary.)
Pre-Class Prep:
- Make 2 copies, each, of Wheatgrass and Banana Leaf templates (pages 112 and 113) on foundation paper piecing paper
