Intro to Hand-Piecing (Little Houses)

Be part of the slow stitching movement, hand-stitching with a creative purpose, by starting a small composition of three little houses that can be made into a 7" x 17" wall-hanging.

This is a 2-part class.

Once you have learned the technique, you can easily multiply the number of houses to make an entire community or only make one showcase house that can perhaps serve as a housewarming gift. The pattern is included in the cost of registration.

Please note: this class is a prerequisite for the Circle Game, a 73" x 73" hand-pieced, hand-quilted project that takes place once a month, over eight months. 




Class supplies: (Please purchase prior to the first class and bring with you on the first day):

- sandpaper board

- template plastic

- paper scissors

- fabric scissors

- fine tip black permanent marker such as Sharpie

- lead pencil

- hand-sewing needle

- Glide thread

- straight pins

- fabric scraps, some as small as 1.5"

- short ruler
