Quilty Sweater Mitten Workshop
What you’ll learn:
- How to felt and cut wool sweaters for making mittens
- Basic quilting techniques for small projects
- Constructing a two-layer mitten (quilted wool outer + fleece lining)
- Tips for fit, comfort, and finishing
Materials:
- Sweater and Fleece materials are provided (Kit fee of $10 includes pattern)
- Sewing machine in good working order with foot pedal, power cord and accessories
- Jersey Needle (80/12 or 90/14)
- Iron with steam function (optional)*
- Pressing mat (optional)*
*We will have irons and ironing boards for class use but, if you bring your own, you won't have to wait for an iron.
If you wish to purchase more material for a second pair of mittens, the kit fee is $20
