-Creative Grids Large 60 degree Diamond Ruler
-neutral 50wt thread for piecing
-new 80/12 microtext needle for piecing

-sewing machine in good working order with owner's manual, foot pedal and power cord
-1/4" foot
-3m background fabric - solids, blenders and low contrast fabrics would work best
-0.5m background accent - something very similar in style and tone as the background fabric
-for the greens you have several choices as long as you end up with at least 2.5m of green fabric. You can use 2.5m of 1 green, 1.25m each of two greens, 0.35m each of 8 greens, etc. In any case, solids, blenders and low volume fabrics would be ideal.
-scraps of reds, golds and black for the bird, berries
and bird accent frame - there will be an opportunity to "shop" through Carrie's stash for fabrics ideal for these components during the first class. They will not be needed for the first class.
