Paper Piecing for Beginners



Paper piecing allows for very intricate designs not always possible with "normal" piecing. If you've always been intrigued by paper piecing but were too scared to tackle it on your own, this FREE class is the one for you! Choose a Level 1 design from the I Spy book by Kimie Tanner and Missy Winona (they're all adorable), then Sam will take you step-by-step through the process. Then you can move on to Level 2!

Requirements:
Book: I Spy by Kimie Tanner and Missy Winona (SKU 392753) Fabric: Choose colours appropriate for your design. When judging amounts, bring twice what you think you'll need! Sewing machine in good working condition, with new needle (Microtex size 80/12), all accessories and manual. Don't forget your power cord and foot control; Open toe foot; Foundation Paper (either SKU 639096 or SKU 1108426) Rotary cutter; Small cutting mat (optional -- we have mats that you may use); Add-a-Quarter Plus ruler (SKU q346 for the 12" length, SKU 1204682 for the 6" length) Efina (60-wt) thread; Clover Roll & Press (SKU 1205234) Fons & Porter Water Soluble Glue Stick (SKU 12339) Basic sewing notions: Thread snips, seam ripper, pins, scissors, etc. Before class: Photocopy your design onto a piece of foundation paper.
